Fall Recipes and Pumpkin Spice Goodness

By in Journal

Fall is in full swing! Coffee shops have rolled out their delicious Pumpkin Spice Lattes and we’re seeing pumpkin inspired EVERYTHING in our stores. What can we say, it’s one of our favorite times of the year. There simply is nothing more magical than that classic blend of spices that make fall recipes absolutely warm, cozy and so yummy.

We thought there was no better way to celebrate than to give you a one stop destination for all our favorite fall recipes that we’ve created over the years. From pumpkin spice to hearty harvest gems. These are all must make treats and dishes for the fall season. So get out there, find your pumpkin, hit the apple orchard, dive into the fall harvest and enjoy every last bite!

Breakfast Fall Recipes

Pumpkin Cinnamon Brioche Rolls

These are at a base my classic brioche cinnamon roll recipe that is a go to when we have company in town. The addition of pumpkin and my Crumble Spice make this absolutely amazing and the pecan glaze is everything! The recipe makes morning breakfast easy. Simply make the dough and shape the buns the night before and pop in the oven while everyone gets ready for the day. Fresh and easy – just how I like it.

Pumpkin Scones with Crumble Spice Icing

When Pumpkin Spice season came around each year, this is the scone we’d scramble for at a certain national coffee chain. Unfortunately they seemed to be always out! So what’s a boy to do? Create a recipe for Pumpkin Scones that if I do say so myself, is much better than what you’d get at that national chain. Topped with my crumble spice icing and it’s a divine treat on those crisp fall mornings.

Apple Pie Granola Bars

If you are looking for a quick grab and go breakfast item, then run to the apple orchard this weekend and whip up these amazing granola bars. They are packed with goodness and chewy to boot! They’ll remind you of apple pie when you eat them and get you on the right foot for the day.

Apple Crumble Jam

The jam created specifically for my Apple Crumble Molasses Cookies (see below). The end result was something I could never have expected. If you have extra apples around from the orchard, this is what you should make when you are over the crumbles, pies, and the granola bars above. Or just splurge and have it all.

Harvest Apple Sauce with Crumble Spice

Nothing beats homemade apple sauce and with this recipe it’s incredibly easy to make and make a lot! Can them for enjoyment all winter long and enjoy the extra warmth from the cinnamon and clove fall spices.

Lunch and Dinner Fall Recipes

Pumpkin Tortellini

A few years ago I delved into the world of making homemade pasta – I haven’t turned back yet. Nothing beats the fun flavor combinations you can make with ravioli and tortellini. This recipe features pumpkin, parmesan and spinach stuffed in a lovely tortellini. Topped with a browned butter sauce and toasted pumpkin seeds and you have absolutely amazing.

Coconut Curry Butternut Squash Soup

Ah, soup season! This Butternut squash soup is inspired by south Asia with curry and coconut blended in. It’s a great and simple lunch for a cool fall day.

Roasted Butternut Squash Soup

This soup is beyond simple. Just cube up your butternut squash, season and roast in the oven. When done, give it a blitz in the blender and add some heavy cream and a garnish of chives. Lunch is waiting.

Dessert Fall Recipes

Pumpkin Caramel Crunch Pie

Growing up we absolutely loved holidays and pumpkin pie. So naturally I had to find a way to make this family favorite even better. What did I do? I reached for my favorite Butter Cream Icing and topped it with caramelized pumpkin seeds. It’s really ridiculous how good this dessert is.

Pumpkin Spice Ice Cream

Living in New York, fall can have some unexpected warm surprises. For those fall days when the weather decides it’s not quite done with hot summer days, reach for a bowl of this delicious pumpkin spice ice cream. You’ll thank me.

Dessert breads are among my favorites and this Pumpkin Pecan Bread screams fall. The warm spices, pumpkin goodness, maple icing and packed with pecans. It’s just too good to pass up.

Apple Crumble Molasses Cookies

If you love Appel Crumble, you’ll love these molasses cookies. It’s surprisingly simple, your classic molasses cookie topped with Apple Crumble Jam (see above) and a classic oat crumble topping. Bake it off and enjoy!

Oatmeal Cran-Apple Cookie

Probably one of my ultimate favorite creations. The Oatmeal Cran-Apple Cookie is packed with everything we love about fall. Apples, Cranberries, and lots of nuts and those warm fall spices. You’ll love every bite.
