I’m a stickler for fast and easy and if I want to get a traditional, all the fixin’s meal on the weekends – these options are usually my only path to accomplishing this. I have been whipping up this recipe for years and its almost too easy. Using just a few ingredients (cheating it with your standard box of Bisquick) you’ll have dinner in the oven and on the table in no time.
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cup Bisquick Mix
2/3 cup Milk
2 tsp. Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Pepper
1 1/4 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick mix, garlic powder, salt, pepper and 1 cup of the cheese. Mix thoroughly and then add the milk bringing it together. Kneed about 10 times and pat the dough out to about a half inch thick. Using a 2 1/2″ biscuit cutter, cut out the biscuits. Combine dough, pat to half inch thick and continue cutting out biscuits until all the dough is used up. Top each of the biscuits with a little more cheese and preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Bake for 10 minutes, remove from the oven and serve.
