Sugar & Spice Cookies

Sugar & Spice Cookies
Christopher Mohs

If you’ve tried one of my classic sugar cookie recipes here or here, you’ll love this twist.  I’ve always loved this recipe at the core, it’s one from my dad and the cookies just seem to dissolve in your mouth. This version includes my Crumble Spice blend and it’s just a great addition to this lineup of such an amazing base sugar cookie.

Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 cup Confectioners Sugar
1 cup Granulated Sugar
1/2 lb. Salted Butter
7 oz. Vegetable Oil
2 Extra Large Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
5 cups All Purpose Flour
1 tsp Cream of Tarter
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Crumble Spice

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a mixer combine butter, sugars, vanilla, oil, and eggs and mix on medium high for about 3-4 minutes until light and fluffy. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, cream of tarter and Crumble Spice. Reduce the mixer to low speed and slowly incorporate the flour mixture and mix until just combined.

Scoop the dough into 1 inch balls and press down gently with the base of a glass  dipped in a sugar and cinnamon mixture (to prevent sticking). Bake the first sheet for 5-6 minutes on the lower rack and then move to the top rack for an additional 5-6 minutes placing the next sheet on the bottom rack. Cycle through until all are baked. Cool and enjoy!
